The speakers and panel discussions will be available to international participants through live-stream video. Real-time translation will enable remote participants to hear the proceedings in their own language.
A social event will follow the panels, providing an opportunity to address development of the third network, Referral. GNATL will help create local and international connections that identify resources and lead to new business relationships. Not only local connections will be made; technology will enable real-time connections with business leaders in other countries. Our purpose is to create an event that raises awareness of global business connectivity that presents opportunities for businesses, regardless of size, with emphasis on educating participants while promoting sponsors and creating business connections for them.]]>
Most would agree that knowledge is good but knowledge put into action is better. INW will be providing information and contributing to the knowledge you need to be successful in the international arena. But we don’t stop there; providing a platform that creates connections and facilitates business opportunities is the real goal. Businesses entering and winning in international commerce is the true target.
In the coming months leading up to International Networking Day Atlanta 2014, participate with us through this blog, Twitter, attending events, reading the newsletter, and communicating with us about your thoughts, questions, and suggestions for not just making INWAtlanta 2014 a success, but more importantly, contributing to the success of Atlanta businesses in their new markets.]]>
We’ll talk more about the seminar series later but would like to let you know about the exciting expansion of the speaker and networking event. We not only expect more participants at the event itself but also participants from around the world joining us through live, streaming video of the event plus direct connections between local and remote participants through Google Hangout and Skype. These video connections will provide opportunities for face-to-face business introductions, chances to learn directly about a particular country or city, and to begin building referral networks and connections. This “virtual trade mission” will help businesses just entering the international market to set the stage for a later mission in person.
Watch for more on this and other INW activities.]]>
In a business sense, there are three important types of networks that play a role in your success: Your Information Network, your Referral Network, and your Support Network. INW Atlanta 2014 is putting together a program that will contribute to all three networks.
Thanks for your participation in 2013 and we’re inviting you to stay in touch for more news and a bigger and better 2014.]]>
Mike Macedonio, President and Co-founder of the Referral Institute set the tone from the stage for a great event relating his early attempts at networking and referral marketing while attending St. Rocco’s primary school. From his early networking failures to a successful international franchise business owner, Mike presented the foundations for building and maintaining a sustainable flow of high value business through networking and referral marketing.
The intermission between speakers was designed to give the attendee’s time to investigate and connect in real-time with Referral Institute contacts from far away places including Ireland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Dubai and India. “It is always great to make powerful and valuable connections and it is so much easier using modern day technology,” says Emile Paradis, President of Referral Institute Atlanta and organizer of Discover Your Global Network Summit. He smiled and added, “I know for a fact that a few of the connections made during the event have already created closed business for a few of the attendee’s”.
Mike Gomez, an Atlanta based networking powerhouse took the stage next. His global sales experience selling military jets around the world gave all the attendees insight into the risks and reward of going global. Mike has taken that experience and now helps companies plan and execute global expansion strategies.
Hazel Walker, the BNI Indiana franchise owner and co-author of “Business Networking and Sex, it’s not what you think” engaged the audience with her insight into the different ways that men and women create and maintain business relationships and build powerful networks. Her book was a result of surveys of over 12,000 people from around the world and is well worth reading.
The 2013 International Networking event in Atlanta was deemed a success with over 160 business professionals in attendance and will return next year on February 6, 2014 even bigger and better. Be sure to sign up for our updates and we look forward to seeing you throughout the year.]]>
